The Sara Woods Graduate Fund in Women's Studies: Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award

The Sara Woods Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award recognizes excellence in Women's Studies teaching.  Students must be either in Penn State's Women's Studies Dual Degree Program to be eligible for the award.  (Minors are not eligible for the award at this time.)  Students do not have to teach in Women’s Studies to apply for this award. Self-nominations are welcome. Applications should include:

  • A one-page teaching philosophy
  • Two letters of recommendation from either faculty or students that focus on the student's teaching
  • Copies of SRTE scores
  • A current CV
  • A current transcript

 

Applications are due February 26, 2016. Please submit all materials in pdf form (except recommendations) to the Women's Studies Graduate Matters Committee, c/o Lisa Batchelor, Women's Studies Department, 133 Willard Building, University Park, PA 16802.  (). Please ask your letter writers to send their recommendation directly to Lisa Batchelor, preferably via email as an attached document.
